Tips for buying computers and accessories

Laptops are now more affordable then ever. Laptop prices have dropped enough to make them available to most consumers who need a mobile computer for school, work or personal use.

The price of a new laptop ranges from around £249 up to £1800 or more, depending on what sort of features and specs you require. But if you’re not very knowledgeable about laptops or notebook computers, buying one can present many challenges.

When purchasing a new laptop some of the features that you should consider are: Screen Display Size: Wide-screen laptops have an aspect ratio of 16:9, which offer a larger and usually a better image than the smaller 4:3 screen.

Other important considerations are the processor speed, the size of the hard drive, the amount of ram included, and also what operating system and additional software comes with the package. For someone who travels around a lot the battery life can be a main concern. So having a spare battery is definitely worth having.

The most important tip for buying a new laptop is do your homework first. You can easily compare features and prices of laptops online before you buy.
